In these testing days, I think from the conversations I have had with Mooters, that mortgages, utility bills and reduced self-employed work is having an effect on all our self-worth.I have been reminded of a quote - The apostle Paul “learned the secret of living in every situation” (Philippians 4:11-13). Self-esteem is an attitude of respect for and contentment with oneself based on the recognition of one’s abilities and acceptance of one’s limitations.
So what is the secret of living in every situation. I think there is a difference in outlook between a world of scarce resources - or of a scarcity understanding of creation, and the idea associated with the Kingdom of God with a abundance in the cosmos, of God's love. The challenge is to be able to live this way when times are hard, and I am trying to live that way and just make it through.
